The Theory

The Light Trick

The Pencil Trick

The Nose Trick.

For this trick all you need is a pair of eyes, a nose and a stereogram. This trick is harder than the previous one so if you could not make the light trick to work…you better try it again cause you won't stand a chance here. What you need to do is get your face as close to the stereogram as possible. You better be alone in the room when you try this otherwise you might look a bit stupid to your friends. Once you are close to the picture you should not be able to see anything. The picture should be blurry. Do not try to focus on it and clear it up. Now very slowly move your head away from the picture (or the picture away from your head, whichever is easier) without focusing on the stereogram.

When the picture is on the right distance from your eyes the 3D image will appear. This method is hard because your eyes are used to automatically focus on the picture and now you have to teach them otherwise. Although I have used this method to learn the parallel viewing method, I strongly advise you to try the light trick. Unless of course you haven't got a light. Obviously this complicates things a bit.
